The last one I played on the PS2, just around the time the original xbox came out bored me..
The chip was too expensive because of how the costing was worked out.
As far as Intel compatibility is concerned, there's always AMD (and to som extent IBM).
As long as the contract is solid, I think MS (and Sony) would jump into bed with anyone.
And also, please don't refer to the CELL as a super computer, clustering 50 CPUs of any sort would provide some serious computing power, the CELL is a good number cruncher though because of it's pipelining architecture......

PC owners just don't seem to buy games as much as console owners.. I wonder why?
Perhaps, just a perhaps/maybe it has something to do with the fact that consoles really are for gaming..

Reminds me very much of the previous unreal tournament, glad they've not detracted from the original recipe. As for the comments about the PS3 version being 30% slower than the PC, that's just bull. It's running about the same pace as the original xbox version and any faster, it'd just be too crazy.

Erm.. It's probably the most boring racer that I've ever played, back when I had the PS2..
Now I can get it to measure how fast I fall, measure gravity, when I'm falling, when I drop it, how far I drop it, when I go on a rollercoaster, how fast my easyjet flight to ... is descending..
Yawn.. Just give me a phone that does what it says on the lid, doesn't crash and will bounce on concrete..
Karaoke was bad enough with alcohol down the pub.. but at home and sober??
